A Virtual Maryland Renaissance Festival and More News from the Studio!

We are learning how to navigate through the new way of living. It’s not that easy for any of us. I have bucked the odds, as I am rural and dependent on exceedingly awful internet from an over-clogged satellite, and gotten many new items up on our website.

Old favorites are there, our oak leaf jewelry, leaf pouches and even leaf purses! Being out in the garden has certainly inspired the “leafiness” in me to come out.

Bill’s path has been not the garden, but he is off into the heart of our forest here and he brings back wood and other items that he has deemed most wonderful and deserving a place in the studio. Some of these things, I look at skeptically, but since he goes along with the tremendous quantity of flowers, herbs and veggies that I have him haul around for me each May, anticipating plunking them in the newly warmed dirt, I do not complain.

I have begun to produce one of the items that I designed for the 2020 Wolfstone Collection. It is the Winter Chemise, based on an Italian Renaissance Camicia. I’ve made it in crisp white linen. Who knows when I can have a model again! But I will put it up with my mannequin when I’ve given up trying to find a person! Oh well!

Bill is currently working on some lovely hand-tooled and hand-painted (the most beautiful part- because I do that! LOL!) sporrans. One design is a boar and the other a wolf. They are one-of-a-kind and he proves once again that he is a master with leather crafting!

And that brings up one more thing! There’s always one more thing. Because of the lack of shows Bill now has the time to take CUSTOM ORDERS. If there is something that you have been wanting him to do, now is the time to take advantage of this period and tell him! Just email him from the contact us section on our website. I am engrossed in my writing so my time isn’t as empty. I will have my first novel up, A Question Of Balance, for sale on this website, and also on Apple Books. It is a current day mystery and I hope everyone buys at least one copy (it’s digital) so that I can buy lots of herbs, blooms and veggie seeds!

The Maryland Renaissance Festival is going virtual for all of the weekends that it runs. It is on a face book site, (Maryland Renaissance Festival) MDRF Marketplace. Please support all of us who are there by purchasing a wonderful thing that we’ve made!

I hope that you enjoy reading about our new adventures!

Stay safe & be kind!
